Founded by Surprise Chef’s Lachlan Stuckey and Jethro Curtin, the label has become a home for some of Australia’s most distinctive music, releasing the recorded output of bands such as Surprise Chef, Karate Boogaloo, Brenda, Temporary Blessings and The Pro-Teens.

Expect deep soul, super funky jazz, leftfield disco, foundation dancehall and boom bap hip hop, pulled straight from the shared crates that shaped their sound.

‘Front 2 Back’ is a new series dedicated to the culture of deep listening. Each edition pairs two albums bound by era, influence, or genre.

From Jazz Greats to Electronic Masterpieces, ‘Front 2 Back’ invites guests to slow down and rediscover iconic albums as complete works, not playlists. Lights low, phones away, sound dialled in. Two albums. One theme. Pure immersion.
